Just told off the guy from Wells Fargo.

He tried to convince me that they just "forgot" to make the original offer enough to cover both the old mortgage and the fees. I said I thought that was pretty stupid (my exact words). I told him I wasn't interested in continuing the process, and he kept telling me that it was a good deal, that I wasn't going to get a better deal anywhere, and so on and so forth, that it was a good decision for me. I said "Don't you think that I should be the one to decide if it's a good decision for me?" "Well, of course but I've been doing this for a long time..." Uh-huh.

Oh, and he also tried to convince me that when what's her name told me there were liens on the house and the extra money was to pay off the liens and for fees, that by lien she meant mortgage. Because a mortgage is technically a lien. I mean, maybe so but I have literally NEVER heard someone call a mortgage a lien. Why not call it a mortgage, which has no other meaning?

FFS.

Anyway, wow. I'm not used to telling people off and now I'm kinda shaky. Glad, but shaky.
